AGOS (Agile Governance Operating System) is a specialized, security-hardened Linux distribution tailored specifically for government agencies, NGOs, and compliance-sensitive public administration offices. Security and Auditability

AGOS is built on a highly customized **Ubuntu LTS base**, utilizing the GNOME desktop environment for its familiarity and robust accessibility features. However, its kernel and core utilities are compiled with stricter security flags and mandatory access controls (MAC) via **SELinux or AppArmor** policies to achieve a high level of operational security.

• Document Management: The distribution comes pre-configured with open-source Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) integrated directly into the desktop shell. All document creation and editing are logged, providing a complete audit trail of who accessed and modified which files, which is critical for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Cryptographic Tools: AGOS includes native, easy-to-use tools for disk encryption (LUKS), secure messaging (using GnuPG/OpenPGP), and secure remote access (VPN/SSH) that adhere to government-grade cryptographic standards.
